Pros And Cons

There are pros and cons to selling downloadable products as opposed to tangible products. On the bright side, these products do not necessitate large physical storage space. Also, they do not require any shipping and packing, which would mean no more shipping related issues like lost items, delayed shipment, items damaged during delivery and wrong quantity being shipped. Customers can also download their purchases pretty much immediately after completing payment, which adds to customer satisfaction.

On the downside, these products do use up a bit of bandwidth especially when it comes to videos. But the pros very obviously out weigh the cons.

Why Are Downloadable Products Selling Well?

Everything is getting compact; tiny, in the case of MP3 players. CD sales are dropping in sharp contrast to paid downloads. Wireless connections have afforded consumers the ability to purchase on the move. People can be seen on subway trains and on buses downloading the latest songs or books direct to their phones, laptops or ebook readers.

More and more consumers are making full use of the convenience that ecommerce provides. No more waiting for hours at CD or book shops every time a new single or title is released. As long there is a fast and stable Internet connection, products are delivered in mere seconds after payment is confirmed via this ecommerce shopping cart software service.

Setting Up

Setting up video and audio samples on InstanteStore’s coldfusion shopping cart pages are a cinch with InstanteStore’s ecommerce shopping cart software service. With the help of embedded HTML shopping cart codes, potential buyers can view or hear samples before they make a purchase. It’s akin to a person tasting cookie samples before deciding on which delicious dessert to buy.
