{"id":8766,"date":"2022-05-30T16:53:21","date_gmt":"2022-05-30T08:53:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/instantestore.com\/blog\/?p=8766"},"modified":"2024-02-05T16:03:53","modified_gmt":"2024-02-05T08:03:53","slug":"scam-alert-fake-company-asking-people-to-send-them-money-for-tasks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/instantestore.com\/blog\/scam-alert-fake-company-asking-people-to-send-them-money-for-tasks\/","title":{"rendered":"SCAM ALERT &#8211; Fake Company Asking People To Send Them Money For Tasks"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Please note that we have just been alerted that scammers are using our company name and website link to scam money from the public. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First they&#8217;ll ask you to complete a series of task where once you complete a task, you are asked to transfer money directly into their company bank account with amounts ranging from RM45, RM159 to RM999 onwards in order for them to pay you back the &#8220;commission&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are screenshots on how they operate their scam via whatsapp groups with the phone number that they use which contain various Admins : <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"632\" src=\"https:\/\/instantestore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8767\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They are using our website address and company registration number to convince people that they are a legit company : <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"696\" src=\"https:\/\/instantestore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/4.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8771\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They will ask you for your full name, age, current occupation, bank account number and bank account name. <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">DO NOT REVEAL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION! <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/instantestore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8769\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After providing your personal information, they will ask you to start completing a task such as adding a product into the shopping cart of a merchant, they will ask you to take a screenshot of the shopping cart with the product to send to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some examples of the &#8220;tasks&#8221; that the scammers will ask you to complete : <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"504\" height=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/instantestore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/14.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8772\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"648\" src=\"https:\/\/instantestore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/13.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8774\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"508\" height=\"791\" src=\"https:\/\/instantestore.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/15.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8773\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After you complete each task, they will then ask you to transfer cash instantly to their &#8220;company bank account&#8221; using DuitNow instead of GIRO or IBG transfer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is so that they can get your cash immediately. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">DO NOT SEND DUITNOW Cash to them!!
